We've both been wandering aimlessly around the house for a few hours trying not to think about tomorrow but neither of us can help thinking about what the day will hold. Of course nothing is for sure so some of the wondering is whether or not anything will even happen. We're running out of things to do though if it doesn't... We've rearranged our room to make room for the baby (don't worry... only for a few weeks) and Charmaine got started with some minor kid-proofing, not that we'll really need to worry about that for awhile. The Christmas decorations are all down and put away and today we installed the car seat and had a nice fireman check to make sure I had done it correctly. I've got my cameras all charged up with spare batteries and extra tapes for the video camera. Now we're just picking a few CDs to play in the delivery room in case we make it that far.
Charmaine talked to a nurse today and found out a bit more about what is involved with a c-section. We both kinda tuned that part out in the prenatal classes thinking that it wouldn't apply to us, so it was good to get a little more information and be a bit more prepared. The nurse was able to answer some of our questions and while we both are still hopeful that things will go naturally we're more prepared now if it doesn't.
I think we're both tired enough now to go to bed, but neither of us thinks we're actually gonna sleep so we're stalling. I guess we should at least try...
Hopefully the next thing I post here will be a birth announcement!
