The health nurse from Interior Health stopped by yesterday to meet Shyloh, weigh him and answer any questions we had. As of yesterday he had gained back all but one ounce of his birth weight which is pretty cool. The nurse suggested that most babies gain 15-30g (1/2oz to 1oz) per day at this stage and take a couple weeks to regain their birth weight. Shyloh has been gaining close to 100g (3oz) per day. We're not concerned as its really just one more indicator that he was genuinely overdue.

The current challenge now is getting enough sleep. The nights haven't been too hard but in anticipation of sleepless nights to come I'm insisting that Charmaine nap when she can. She's not used to napping during the day so anytime she finds some free time she's picking up a book or catching up on housework. Today I took her book away, covered her with a blanket and two minutes later she was fast asleep.

So far we've had only a couple visitors a day which has been a nice amount. We really missed going to church on Sunday and seeing everyone but when we heard afterwards just how many people are sick we knew that it was probably for the best.

Anyway, I'm starting back to work this week and have no shortage of things to work on. Currently I'm juggling about five clients with active projects and tight deadlines so I've not a moment to waste.  Guess that means I should sign off now and get back to work!
