February 2007 Blog Posts
We've been asked to post more video of Shyloh, and we will, but until I can get time to capture, edit and encode it for the web you'll just have to make do with more pictures.
So if you haven't noticed, my pace of blogging has slowed down. There are a number of things contributing to this but chief among them would be that I'm tired. Very tired. Charmaine has been doing an incredible job every night looking after Shyloh so that I can sleep and still function enough to work for my clients, but the sandman doesn't seem to be coming around as often anymore.
Please accept my apologies for not having written anything in a while now but its not for lack of trying. Now that I'm back working full time again my clients (who have waited so patiently) are ready for me to get their stuff done. I've been juggling five contracts and working 10-12 hours a day Monday through Saturday to try and get caught up.
Daryl sent me this and I had to do it for myself.
Ok, so Krista tagged Doug but his response was “ahhh, I don’t have time” then something about working for a living, grumble, grumble… Seeing as I don’t work for a living (I just change diapers and feed my baby all day instead!) I thought I’d respond.
I hate to admit it, but this was a total fluke shot. I pointed my camera without looking through the viewfinder and waited for Shyloh to raise his head. After I took the picture I checked my shutter, aperture and ISO, they're weren't perfect, but nothing a little Photoshop couldn't help.
So we haven't quite got the sleeping thing sorted out just yet. The last couple nights in particular have been hard. We're pretty convinced that Shyloh doesn't like the dark so we've taken to sleeping with a lamp turned on the lowest setting. I know... we could just move him into his own room, but I'm not ready for that yet. Yep. Apparently I've become quite the softy and can't stand the thought of a wall and two doors between us for a whole night. I know what you're thinking though...
