So if you haven't noticed, my pace of blogging has slowed down. There are a number of things contributing to this but chief among them would be that I'm tired. Very tired. Charmaine has been doing an incredible job every night looking after Shyloh so that I can sleep and still function enough to work for my clients, but the sandman doesn't seem to be coming around as often anymore and I'm slowly losing ground.
Aside from the lack of sleep, things have been going very well. As I mentioned before, Charmaine's mom arrived on Monday morning and has been helping out around the house a bit with some cooking and cleaning. On Tuesday the ladies from the church threw and absolutely amazing baby shower for Charmaine and Shyloh. It was nice that they waited until Vivian could be here for it and I think she really enjoyed getting to be a part of it.

Dorothy Woodman outdid herself again
When they came home the van was loaded with gifts. If we still had the little two-door Chevy Z22 they would have had to make three trips to get it all home!

This is only some of the gifts we've received for Shyloh
You can see in the picture a few of the hand-made blankets that people have given. It takes time to make a blanket, especially the crocheted, knitted and quilted ones, and most of the blankets have come from people with children of their own or even full time jobs! The time and effort that everyone is putting into our little boy is amazing to me and just blows me away. We're deeply grateful for the love and care that has been showered upon us.
As much as I to play with Shyloh when he's awake, one of my most favorite things to do is hold him while he sleeps. This is good because right now he still sleeps alot.

As many of you know, I have been growing my hair out again. However, Shyloh and I have decided that short hair is the best and most maintenance free, which is a good thing for babies and nerds.

And I know you don't want me to leave you with a picture of my mug!
