A friend of mine has been a pilot since the early 80s and gave me the opportunity to go up with him today.  We took off shortly after 3:00 PM and did a few circles around Kelowna.  I've flown in small (very small) planes before, but the last time was about 20+ years ago when I was in grade 6.  I have to admit... I fit a lot better back then.  Today was awesome though because as you can see the cloud cover was very high and we were up there for one reason: Photography.

This was my first time doing aerial photography but Craig had lots of great advice and with his coaching I managed to snap a few decent shots.

That's Craig's glasses case floating above the instrument panel. The first time he did it he caught me by surprise and while I didn't lose my lunch it did unsettle me pretty good. Once I learned to trust my seatbelt though it was fine and actually quite entertaining. I highly recommend it!

While flying is exhilarating in and of itselft, what really got my heart pumping today was the thought that someday I will get to take Shyloh up for a flight. I can't wait to share that moment with him.
