A friend of mine has been a pilot since the early 80s and gave me the opportunity to go up with him today. We took off shortly after 3:00 PM and did a few circles around Kelowna. I've flown in small (very small) planes before, but the last time was about 20+ years ago when I was in grade 6.
He's growing up so fast...
I'll bet you didn't know I was into cars. Hehe... just kidding. I'm definitely not, but that didn't stop me this weekend. For 50 years now, Kelowna has been host to the Knox Mountain Hill Climb and so Lee decided it was high time I took in the event. With my camera of course. The goal of the day was to use as low a shutter speed as possible so that the background is blurred while keeping the cars in sharp focus. If that doesn't sound very hard, then you should try it someday.
Another big first: Mother's Day. I didn't wake Charmaine up with breakfast in bed, but I did make her eggs and toast before getting Shyloh ready and heading out the door for church. Before we left Shyloh presented his mommy with a card containing an attempt at a hand-print and a bracelet with his birthstone. She cried a little and already the day was a success.
